Last Wish Mustang Restoration

March 29, 2012

On April 13, 2012 a classic car dream will come true for Linda Howard.

Bill and Linda Howard

Bill and Linda Howard by their 1968 Mustang

Earlier this year, Linda was diagnosed with a brain tumor (Stage 4 Astrocytoma) which could not be fully removed in surgery.  When asked what her last wishes were, Linda said she would like to see the completion of her and her husband’s 1968 Mustang and be able to drive it to Kentucky where the couple first met. Bill purchased the car nine years ago for the couple’s 30th anniversary and has been restoring it to look like a 1967 Mustang. The car is almost complete, needing only a fresh coat of paint.

Friends of the Howards are raising money to cover the paint job and the car will be revealed as a surprise for Linda at a car show to be held in  DeLand, Florida. After the car show, the couple will head to Kentucky visit family.

If you are interested in attending the car show or donating funds to cover the finishing touches on the car, please contact family friend, Michael McFerrin, at (321) 695-2167 or mikesgoldinfo@yahoo.com.

The car show will be held at McDonald’s (2697 S. Woodland-Ave Boulevard, DeLand, FL 32720).

Cycle and Car show for Daniel Lopez Jr.

February 13, 2012

Great weather and a good cause led to an awesome turnout at the Car and Cycle show for Daniel Lopez Jr. on Saturday, January 11.

ClassicCars.com at the Car and Cycle Show for Daniel Lopez Jr.

The Nancy Perry Productions car show was held at Chili Bombers Neighborhood Bar and Grill in Glendale, AZ to benefit Daniel Lopez, a five year old boy diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor at the age of two. He has undergone six surgeries and continues to fight the returned tumor but he remains in high spirits. Channel 5 News did a great story on Daniel’s love of school and dream to become a police officer, which can be seen here.

The unity of the car community was shown in the variety of cars displayed. There was something for everyone at the event – from hot rods, to muscle cars, to mini trucks.

You can read more about Daniel Lopez and make a donation to assist with his medical expenses here.
